About Pastor Belew

I was born in a small town in West Tennessee.  My father worked for the State of Tennessee Highway Department and was making a good living.  Then the lure of bigger and greater things was too much.  He went to work in the oilfields of Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Illinois.  He was making a decent salary, but then came alcohol.

We moved, moved, and mover some more.  I attended so many schools I couldn’t begin to name all of them.  I was in High School when it all came to a head.  I left home and went to Tennessee, to live with Dad’s brother.  After graduation I enlisted in the Marine Corps. After Book Camp, they gave me a free ride to a place called Korea.

I married Gloria Stone from Grayville, Illinois.  I left the Marine Corps after five years and joined the U.S. Navy.   I have traveled all over the world including a place called Viet Nam.   I was assigned to Staff Duty in Hawaii.  I finished my career and retired.  Then it was off to a new career.  I attended a Junior College in Robinson, Illinois, received an Associate Degree and then off to Eastern Illinois University, I received a Bachelor of Arts.  I have worked in insurance, I taught school, I managed a construction company that built Low Income apartments.

Finally, I gave in and let God do with me as He saw fit.  I have served as Deacon, Elder and Preacher.  I served a small church for five years and then moved to Texas where I served for almost ten years.  While I was there, I completed a degree in Pulpit Ministry from the Baptist Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee.  Then I completed a Doctorate degree in Theology.

This is when BLESU2 Ministry came into being.  Now once again I will prepare items for a Web Site, to inform, encourage, and help build your faith in Jesus Christ our Savior.
